AI builds by Dan La Ferlita
AI that works for your customers, built by hand
I build AI tools for businesses: assistants that sell and book, simulated customers that test a site before launch, and reports that write themselves. Here is what I have built. I can build the same for you.
Every build keeps a person in charge. Anything that costs money or changes a booking waits for a human to approve it.
Built: simulated shopper panel
Six customers who test your site before real ones do
Each one is an AI character built from a real kind of customer: age, budget, devices, patience, and the exact things that make them leave. They walk through a page out loud, score it on trust, clarity and ease, then argue about it in a roundtable.
-
W
Walt, 71
Retired machinist. Uses a computer for email and not much else.
- Tests
- Large text, plain words, a way to reach a person.
- Leaves when
- There is no phone number or person to talk to.
-
A
Ana, 42
Bilingual mom of four who runs the household budget.
- Tests
- Spanish, whole-family pricing, sharing a plan with her husband.
- Leaves when
- She can't see what the whole family will pay.
-
T
Theo, 28
Software engineer who shops at 1 a.m. and never calls anyone.
- Tests
- Speed, real specs, checking out without help.
- Leaves when
- Marketing talk hides the numbers.
-
M
Marcus, 31
Just moved. Shops on his phone between meetings.
- Tests
- Phone layouts, fast setup, quick payment.
- Leaves when
- A form fights his thumbs.
-
C
Carol, 54
Careful reader and a ten-year customer, notepad in hand.
- Tests
- Clear steps, plain language, saving a summary.
- Leaves when
- She isn't sure what happens next.
-
J
Jess, 35
Switching providers after one price hike too many.
- Tests
- Honest prices and the fine print.
- Leaves when
- A promo price hides the real one.
Sample run: the panel tries Vesper
First pass, before any fixes. Overall score out of 5. Panel average: 3.2
| Shopper | Score | Biggest problem | In their words |
| Walt |
2/5 |
No way to reach a person |
“It's all a chat box. Where's the phone number? I'm not typing my business into a box.” |
| Ana |
3/5 |
No Spanish, and no way to send the bundle to her husband |
“I like that the total updates as I go. But no Spanish? And how do I show Luis?” |
| Theo |
4/5 |
Upload speeds not listed |
“address, three questions, plan. fine. but is the gig the same speed both ways. say so.” |
| Marcus |
4/5 |
Self-install kit takes two days to arrive |
“Honestly smooth on my phone. But two days for the kit? I need wifi tonight.” |
| Carol |
3/5 |
The tool panel looks like it is meant for her |
“What is “get offers”? I don't know what that black box is telling me, and it worries me.” |
| Jess |
3/5 |
The price after the two-year lock is missing |
“Locked for two years, then what? If you don't tell me year three, I assume the worst.” |
From the roundtable
“Everybody keeps saying it's fast. Fast doesn't help me if I can't get a person.”
Walt
“walt's right. a call button costs nothing. i'd never press it, but it should be there.”
Theo
“And put the year-three price right next to the price. Then I'll believe the rest of it.”
Jess
“And in Spanish, por favor. Half my street would use this.”
Ana
Fixed because of it
- A person, always in view. A Talk to a person button now sits in the chat header. (Walt)
- The real price after the lock. The bundle and the order summary show what you pay from year three. (Jess)
- Upload speeds, not just download. Every plan says it runs the same speed both ways. (Theo)
- A team view, labeled as one. The tool panel now says shoppers never see it in a live build. (Carol)
Next on the list
- A Spanish version. The full conversation written in Spanish, not machine-translated. (Ana)
- Share your bundle. A link to text or email the plan to someone at home. (Ana, Carol)
- Online sooner. Same-day setup options for people who just moved. (Marcus)
Simulated shoppers are a fast first screen, not a replacement for talking to real customers. They catch the obvious problems cheaply, so real research time goes to the hard questions.
